Maintenance Recommendations
We would like to provide residents with Maintenance Reminders, but we’d like your help in thinking of what all should be included. Please email suggestions to communications@denizenhoa.com. Here’s what we have so far:
- Air Conditioner Filters – change every 2-3 months
- Service Air Conditioner/Heater – once per season
- Smoke Detector Batteries – replace once a year – they use a 9V Battery
- Alarm Systems – ??
- Hot water heaters – We now know these need to be maintained haha! We have put the manual on the website under “maintenance manuals”. However, one thing we know is that we need to remove the filters if the weather is going to get really cold. And another is that we are supposed to flush it yearly as well. Shout out to neighbor Brian Gabriel for compiling a document on how to do this – thanks Brian! You can find this doc under Maintenance Manuals as well.
- Garage door openers – does anyone know how to program the garage door to close automatically? If so, would you be willing to write up a simplified instruction sheet for this and email it to communications@denizenhoa.com? Or even better, if anyone is real techie, you could do a pod cast showing how to do it! Also, how to change the batteries in the garage door opener and in the keypad.
- Dryer Vents – should be cleaned once a year – does anyone have a great recommendation on who to use for this?
